IBEW Canada Website

Issue:
IBEW (The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) wanted a new website to feature information about IBEW Canada as a well as a micro-site allowing members to upload fellow members as “Local Heroes”.

Implication:
IBEW needed the new website to complement its TV launch. Without web presence, they would lose momentum and the ability to create vital awareness and interest in the union.

Solution:

We created a customized WordPress template to support a microsite within a microsite. Built to support multiple styles depending on which page is loaded, each version of the site has its own distinct look. Additionally, to support public-facing submissions, we built in the ability to create postings from the “front end”.

Result:
In the first six weeks, the site averaged over 2,000 unique visitors, who viewed an average 2.65 pages per session. Of those, 72% were new visitors. The site has a bounce rate of a remarkably low 54% and the average user spends an impressive 1:50 on it.
