Issue: The client asked us to design and produce an app that would guide newly-engaged couples through selecting gifts in the HBC Gift Registry.
Implication: HBC relies on its wedding registry to drive yearly sales. Any app had to fit perfectly with HBC’s brand position so it could drive loyalty and lifelong customers.
Having loaded the inventory (hundreds of items from dozens of brands) the app allowed users to scroll through items and add them into their wish list. Users could further refine their wish list and define quantities. The app allowed them to share their selections via email and social networks. Finally, they could email the list to their local store for fulfillment.
