2life iOS App

Issue:
2life, 2 For Life Inc, wanted an app for couples to communicate privately -- share photos, web links, chat, share calendar events, share journals.

Implication:
Despite the cluttered world of social networking tools on mobile devices, 2Life needed to establish itself as a legitimate private network between two people, so it could enjoy added advertising revenue from space on that network.

Solution:

We created a universal iOS app that runs on iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Users create accounts and invite each other, forming a couple. Between devices are custom-built API servers that create the connection and sync data. Apple’s push notification service handles collaborative communications. Data is securely encrypted between devices and is stored in encrypted format to protect the couple’s privacy. Additionally the app also serves content suitable to couples.

Result:
Since launch there have been over 100 000 downloads. Over 15 000 couples have signed up and sent 130 000 messages. Advertising revenue is well over projections. The app has been featured on the App Store in over 140 countries.
