Apple revises the laptop line – Again!

Apple announced revised MacBook Air and MacBook Pro product lines.
MacBook Air
MacBook Air features faster Intel Core 2 Duo processors along with powerful nVidia GeForce graphics, all in the same thin and environmentally friendly design–and all starting at $1749. MacBook Pro
The MacBook Pro family now comes in three sizes with 13-, 15-, and 17-inch models. Each features a thin and light aluminum unibody design, built-in battery with up to 7 hours on a single charge (up to 8 hours on the 17-inch), and a LED-backlit display for greater color intensity. There is FireWire 800 across the line-up and a new SD card slot in the 13- and 15-inch models. Apple Updates White MacBook 13
Apple is introducing a new white MacBook with a faster 2.13GHz Intel processor, advanced NVIDIA graphics, 2GB of memory, and a larger 160GB hard drive standard. MacBook is a durable, full-featured notebook at a great $1,149 value.

Apple Introduces New Xserve Featuring Intel “Nehalem” Processors
Apple introduced the all-new Xserve line that delivers up to two times the performance of the previous generation while providing enhanced energy efficiency. Based on the next-generation Intel “Nehalem” architecture, Xserve features a single-die quad-core architecture, a fully shared 8MB L3 cache design, and a three-channel integrated memory controller with up to 12 slots of 1066MHz DDR3 ECC memory. Xserve introduces new storage capabilities, including an optional 128GB solid-state drive (SSD) for use as a boot drive, SATA/SAS drive support with support for up to 3TB of internal storage, internal second-generation RAID card option with 512MB of RAID cache, and cost-effective dual- and quad-port Fibre Channel cards for external storage connectivity. Xserve is based on a green design that delivers improved performance per watt for reduced energy consumption, eliminates toxic chemicals, and a high-efficiency power supply.
Starting at $3499, Xserve also includes an unlimited-client license of Mac OS X Server as part of its standard configuration.

Mac Pro

Apple Announces Updates To AirPort Extreme, Time Capsule
Apple announced updates to AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule. These updates include simultaneous dual-band 802.11n WiFi, which delivers the best possible performance, range, and compatibility. Devices will automatically choose the best band available. New features also include Guest networking, which allows customers to set up a separate network for friends and guests, and support for Back to my Mac for MobileMe users.
